Paper facts

The Chinese invented paper from hemp 100 B.C. Later, they began using tree bark, bamboo and other plant fibers.

Only 10% of formed trees are harvested annually and these are fully replenished with new trees being planted within the same year which leaves the 90% to continue sequestering carbon from the air.

In South Africa, wood for paper is sourced from 850 million trees planted over 676 000 hectares.

Packaging facts

Cling film has decent viscosity and can be self-adhesive without heating, which makes it easier to pack food. Its proper air-tightness greatly reduces nutrient loss, bacterial invasion, dust, moisture, etc.

Packaging is the science, art and technology of enclosing or protecting products for distribution, storage, sale and use. Packaging also refers to the process of designing, evaluating, and producing packages.

A research published few years back announced that 94% of the world population recognizes the red branding of Coca-Cola. On top of that, the name of the brand is the second most understood word globally, right after “okay”. Now, that’s what you call branding!
